These are the first Android XR audio glasses, coming this fall with iPhone support

At I/O 2026, Google had a number of Android XR announcements, including a sneak peek at the first two audio-only Samsung glasses with designs from Gentle Monster and Warby Parker.

Google and Samsung refer to this new form factor as “intelligent eyewear.” These “audio glasses” do not have a screen, with all output from the built-in speakers. In terms of input, there are cameras and microphones for Gemini.

To access Gemini, you can “tap the side of the frame” or say the “Hey Google” hotword. Google touts use cases like:

Google shared today that glasses can be paired with both Android phones and the iPhone.

Samsung touts its hardware engineering “leadership” (with a Qualcomm chip), while the eyewear partners bring premium design.

Each eyewear brand brings a distinct design approach to the device – renowned for their legacies in fashion eyewear, Gentle Monster presents styles with disruptive yet refined aesthetics, while Warby Parker showcases refined and timeless designs.

Audio glasses are launching this fall, with today’s sneak peek only sharing two designs from the full Warby Parker and Gentle Monster collections.
